About Us

The DCCD Group is a grassroots not-for-profit charitable organization based in Ontario, Canada. Co-founded in 2001 by current Board Members; Alicia Morgan and Quinn de Vries, the DCCD has developed an approach toward community development that respects human dignity and supports the notion that change is something that can be achieved as a collaborative and collective effort. The DCCD Group recognizes local leadership and strives to empower leaders within communities.

Our Mission

The purpose of the Dominican - Canadian Community Development Group is to promote social and economic justice in the Dominican Republic, and awareness of these issues in Canada.


We are building a partnership between countries to organize and promote self-help projects and educate both Canadians and Dominicans in order to improve the basic living conditions in the Dominican Republic.We recognize that our reality and opportunity in Canada is for many Dominicans, only a dream. We recognize our responsibility as human beings to help bridge the gap between our two realities.
